GamePocalypse 2013 announced, a 24-hour MMO gaming event for troops

Bottomline Guild, a charitable gaming community known for their work on the Wounded Warrior Project, today announced GamePocalypse 2013, a giant, online gaming event in support of the WWP. The event starts next Saturday, March 16, at 12AM, and will feature a 24-hour marathon of MMO gameplay of World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 2, and PlanetSide 2, in order to raise $50,000 for the cause. 100% of the donations will go to the WWP charity.

Sony Online Entertainment has pledged their support in the form of a bundle of various prizes, which will be donated by FleshEatingZipper, an entertainment and lifestyle website. "The chance for a bunch of gamers to give back to those who have fought for our safety and freedom was something we couldn't pass up," FleshEatingZipper's Rob Morris said of the event. "Where's the sign up sheet?"

Prizes include a gaming PC, some PlanetSide 2 T-shirt, hoodies, and dogtags, and more. Other prize donors include Bossrigs.com and Rounds Down Range.

Check out the Bottomline Guild's page for more info on the event and how you can contribute to GamePocalypse 2013.
