Gameplay footage for 'Final Fantasy X HD' on the PlayStation Vita

During this morning’s PlayStation Vita live event, Sony showed off a gameplay video for the HD remake of “Final Fantasy X” on the Vita. Posted on YouTube by user “asdfCrocogater”, the footage doesn’t show much at all, but there’s been no information on this game since it was announced back in 2011. “Final Fantasy X” was a very popular and successful entry in the “Final Fantasy” series, becoming the first game in the series to spawn a direct sequel, “Final Fantasy X-2”.

Sony needs to release more quality games for the PlayStation Vita if they want the platform to stay afloat. A price drop won’t magically turn the system around if there’s nothing worth playing on it. Releasing “Final Fantasy X HD” is definitely a step in the right direction, and hopefully Sony has learned from their mistakes.

A PS3 version is also expected for “Final Fantasy X HD”. No release date has been set at this time for either version.
