Let the uprising begin!
In the latest casting news, Lionsgate has confirmed that Natalie Dormer will soon join Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in the third & fourth installment of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 & 2.
Dormer has been cast as Cressida, the Capitol film director who works alongside her camera crew, and joins the rebellion alongside some of the former Capitol residents in District 13. Cressida works and preps Katniss into fulfilling her mockingjay duties by filming her throughout her journey in bringing Panem down.
Dormer is best known for her work as Anne Boleyn in The Tudors, and as Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones. She also has a recurring role in CBS’s Elementary as Irene Adler, and can next be seen in Rush and The Counselor.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 will be released on November 21, 2014, while Part 2 opens November 20, 2015.
The sequel to The Hunger Games franchise, Catching Fire, opens everywhere November 22, 2013.
