Last night fans of "Game of Thrones" were actually thrilled to see King Joffrey die at the Purple Wedding. He was not a character that had many fans. On Monday, Hollywood Life shared big spoilers about who was responsible for his death. If the show does things the same way as the books, the killer has been revealed already.

Joffrey was killed by two people. The killers are Lady Olenna Tyrel and Petyr Baelish. Of course they had motive to kill him though and that won't come as a surprise to anyone. The poison that they gave him was called Strangler. It is very rare and is only known by certain people. Sansa was also taken away during the wedding to go live with her aunt in safety.

Petyr also set up the big show at the Purple Wedding. He wanted to make sure that Tyrion was implicated in the death of Joffrey and so the entire show of the dwarves performing the War Of The Five Kings was for this reason. It looks like it worked too.

This means that the person who killed King Joffrey was the grandmother of his new wife. Not many people will be upset by the loss of Joffrey but it will change things and cause some drama on the show. It will be interesting to see if the show follows it all the way that the books had it play out.

NY Daily News shared a bit more about the shocker last night. It all happened in the book by George R.R. Martin called “A Song of Ice and Fire.” His death should be considered a beginning of things to come. It has now been revealed that fans will find out more this season including the killer.

Don't miss new episodes of "Game of Thrones" every Sunday night. This season should wrap up the killer among other things. The drama of this season has just started.
