"Game of Thrones" season 4 won’t air for at least 8 more weeks but all indications are that season 5 is going to be greenlit and it will have a storing focus on Danaerys’ story. HBO has not yet confirmed a fifth season but a report on Zap 2 It on Feb. 7 seems to imply it will be and here’s why.

Earlier this month we learned the Michiel Huisman’s character, Daario Nahris will have a stronger role in season 5. We also just learned that Nathalie Emmanuel who plays Missendei has been bumped up to series regular for season 5. Both characters have a strong connection to Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke).

At least that tells us that neither Missendei nor Daario are going to be killed off in season 4. In all probability, Dany won’t be getting voted off the island either. It also tells us that the storyline surrounding Dany is likely to be ramping up in season 5.

Daenerys has been a major player in the first 3 seasons but her storylines always feel removed from the goings on in King’s Landing or up at the Wall. With her growing posse of sidekicks and players, she seems poised to make a bigger splash. And as her babies grow, we are expecting more from the Mother of Dragons.

Season 4 of “Game of Thrones” will premiere on April 6 on HBO.
