It is surprising that of all the Starks, Sansa has made it this far in “Games of Thrones.” Sophie Turner who plays the timid Sansa was recently interviewed about her expanding role in season 4 by Wetpaint who shared the spoilers on Feb. 8.
"There's a kind of big evolution [for Sansa in Season 4]," the actress said. "She begins to kind of manipulate the people who have done wrong to her in her past. She becomes a powerhouse character but in a very subtle way. It's really good."
Turner is excited about this new avenue her character will be exploring. She said it feels as if she’s just been waiting for the opportunity to manipulate those who have been her tormentors and that the wait seemed interminable. This season feels like a release.
She went to describe the season as a whole as “shocking stuff” and "more deaths, of course, because it's Game of Thrones."
Peter Dinklage has said his character will be facing the most humiliation he’s ever faced in the upcoming season. Surely Sansa won’t be the cause of that! We will have to wait and see.
“Game of Thrones” will premiere season 4 on Sunday, April 6 on HBO.
