Executive producer David Benioff says, “There is tremendous clamor for revenge, especially in the wake of the Red Wedding.”

Benioff promises that fans will see some of “most shocking and mind-blowing scenes of the entire series come at the end of this season.” The producer states these will be some of the bloodiest confrontations yet.

If you saw “Red Wedding,” you have some idea of how bloody this story can get. Some of the fan favorite characters, including Rob Stark and his pregnant wife, were killed off while attending a wedding celebration.

We will be treated to another wedding in season 4, named “The Purple Wedding.” This one is the marriage of the evil King Joffrey to his bride Margaery done with all the pomp and ceremony befitting a king.

Probably the most anticipated event of the season will be the emergence of Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons as adults. They will be responsible for the “fire” in the season’s name. IN the first season they were hatchlings and they’ve grown larger and more dangerous with each passing season.

“Game of Thrones” season four premieres April 6th on HBO. Watch “Game of Thrones Season 4: Ice and Fire: A Foreshadowing” on this page.
