Now that Game of Thrones is only a few weeks away from its season 3 premiere, HBO has released a 14-minute video recap for Season 2, to help fans remember what has happened in the story to date. According to Rolling Stone, the video aired on HBO on Friday night, March 8th, and is now available online.

The new season will feature longer episodes than past seasons. There will still be only 10 episodes, but expect them to be more in the 56-57 minute range rather than the normal 52 minutes of previous seasons.
It’s one of the advantages of working with HBO – episodes can’t be under 50 minutes or over 60, but in between there is plenty of flexibility. However, the season 3 premiere will clock in at over 60 minutes, which required special permission from HBO top brass.
Currently you can view the entire Season 2 on HBO On Demand, or the DVD is available, having been released on February 19th. However, if you don’t have time for all 10 episodes before the Season 3 premiere on March 31, the 14-minute recap video is a handy and informative option.
