There are big changes in store for the third season of this HBO series. Many new faces are joining the action, and many things will happen with the arrival of these new additions. David Benioff, an executive producer and writer for the series, spoke about the series and what is coming next. He said the following, according to the Los Angeles Times:
"This is the rise and fall season. Because there are so many characters who come into the season with power of some kind who lose everything, and others who enter with almost nothing and achieve great power."
