Fans of the HBO hit "Game of Thrones" will want to see "Catch The Throne: The Mixtape," in anticipation of the fourth season, which debuts on April 6, 2014. "Catch The Throne: The Mixtape" was released by HBO on March 7, 2014 and is available for free download.

Update: Marathon and online guide heralds return of Gameof Thrones to HBO

The first “Game of Thrones” mixtape, entitled "Catch The Throne: The Mixtape." includes exclusive tracks from top music artists, including: Wale, Big Boi, Common and Daddy Yankee, in addition to songs from up-and-coming artists Snow Tha Product, Bodega Bamz and Magazeen.

The hip-hop and reggaeton, 10-song mixtape is inspired by “Game of Thrones” themes and storylines from seasons one to three of the fantasy drama about the struggle for power in the fictional land of Westeros during the Middle Ages.

Each song on the mixtape samples music from the original “Game of Thrones” soundtrack. As superfans of the acclaimed series, the artists created songs that encourage and inspire listeners who may not have been immersed in the storylines to catch up on previous seasons of “Game of Thrones” using HBOGO.

The new mixtape features series-inspired hot tracks, including the theme song by Wale ("King Slayer"); Season 1 by Big Boi ("Mother of Dragons"), Bodega Bamz ("Win or Die") and Magazeen ("Iron Throne"); Season 2 by Daddy Yankee ("Born to Rule"), Kilo Kish ("Magical Reality") and Dominik Omega ("Anya's Prayer"); and Season 3 by Common ("The Ladder"), Snow Tha Product {"Fire") and Dee Goodz ("The Parallel").

“We are excited to create an additional fan touch point with Catch The Throne: The Mixtape,” says Lucinda Martinez, SVP of Multicultural Marketing at HBO. “This is a unique opportunity to give fans great original music and an innovative way to highlight the electrifying ‘Game of Thrones’ series.”

The release of Catch The Throne: The Mixtape is coordinated with the “Game of Thrones: The Exhibition” at the SXSW festival. The “Game of Thrones” exhibition will run from March 7-11 in Austin, TX and will include liPstening stations featuring" Catch The Throne: The Mixtape."

Fans who are not able to attend the exhibition in Texas are able to download the mixtape at Soundcloud/CatchtheThrone. Listeners are encouraged to share using the hashtag #CatchTheThrone.

Catch the Throne is produced by Launch Point Records. "Game of Thrones," based on the bestselling fantasy book series by George R.R. Martin, is an epic story of treachery and nobility set on the continent of Westeros, where summers and winters can last years, and only the lust for power is eternal.
