‘Game of Thrones’ author George R.R. Martin to cameo in upcoming season 3 (Video)

The Huffington Post reported yesterday that "Game of Thrones" creator and author George R.R. Martin will make an appearance in upcoming season three of the HBO smash hit. The author will grace us with his presence, yet exactly as who or what, we don’t know. “Game of Throne’s” executive producer David Benioff would not confirm exactly what role George R.R. Martin will play in season three to Deadline, only hinting, “You will see him.”

One could get technical and say this shouldn’t be considered the first time Martin made a cameo in “Game of Thrones.” George actually appeared in the “Game of Thrones” pilot. However, when the pilot was re-shot, his cameo ended up getting cut out of the finished product.

With the bigger than life fantasy returning March 31, what else can fans expect to unfold in Westeros in the upcoming season 3? Some new characters will be introduced including Clive Russell as Bryndon "The Blackfish" Tully, Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Jojen Reed, and Diane Rigg as Lady Olenna Tyrell, "The Queen of Thorns." Some other highlights include Daenerys Targaryen donning a more elegant wardrobe while leading an army, a wedding and Joffrey playing with a crossbow. Keep your eyes peeled Sansa!
