On Thursday, August 22 Deadline reported that actress Natalie Dormer has been cast in the role of Cressida in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2," which cover the final book in the trilogy. Dormer currently stars in the HBO fantasy drama "Game of Thrones" as Margaery Tyrell.
Dormer's other film roles include the Ron Howard racing drama "Rush," and "The Counselor" by director Ridley Scott. Cressida is a film director who films Katniss in the destruction of the districts in her rebellion against the Capitol. Cressida accompanies Katniss from district 13 all the way until they reach the Capitol. The footage that Cressida shoots appears in messages shown to the rest of Panem about the destruction and secret about members of the government.
Cressida is described in the book as a brave woman with a bald head. She stands out in the districts for her bold, green tattoos that resemble vines all over her body. For the role, Dormer will probably have to shave her head, which is common. "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" is scheduled to be released in November 21, 2014. "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" will be released in theaters on November 20, 2015. The films are based on "The Hunger Games" trilogy by Suzanne Collins.
