Christie is well known for the role of Brienne of Tarth in the HBO television drama "Game of Thrones," which is about to begin its fourth season. The English actress, who is six feet and three inches tall, will replace Rabe in the final film, but not in "Mockingjay - Part 1," which is scheduled to be released in November.

Director Francis Lawrence has been filming both movies near Atlanta since September and most of the filming has been completed. Lionsgate has scheduled filming in Paris and Berlin for later this spring, including a battle scene that will be completed in Tempelhof Airport which was closed years ago.

Christie is replacing Rabe, who originally landed the role but has scheduling conflicts in the final movie. The actress had already committed to playing in "Much Ado About Nothing" at Shakespeare in the Park. Her previous credits include appearing in the past few seasons of the television horror drama "American Horror Story" on FX.
