In sad news, an actor from the hit show "Game of Thrones" has passed away. On Monday, New York Daily News shared about how JJ Murphy died after he was done filming just four days of his part for the upcoming season of the show. He was 86-years-old at his time of death.

JJ Murphy was filming for the upcoming season and had only been working for four days. He was set to be in season five of the show. He was supposed to be filming more scenes for this show. He was playing the character Ser Denys Mallister, the most senior member of the Night's Watch. He passed away on Friday.

It looks like they are going to have to rewrite part of the upcoming season of the show. Executive producers D.B. Weiss and David Benioff said in a statement to the Daily News, "We will not be recasting J.J. Murphy. He was a lovely man, and the best Denys Mallister we could have hoped for. And now his watch is ended." It sounds like they will be changing things up and this character could end up dying pretty quick on the show.

JJ Murphy passed away and he left behind several grown children and his wife Mary. ABC News shared that at this time they have not shared a cause of death for this actor. He died on Friday. The family is planning a memorial service that will be held in Belfast. The funeral is scheduled for him on Wednesday.

"Game of Thrones" season five will be airing on HBO. It is unknown at this time what they plan to do with the character that JJ Murphy was playing but it was simply shared that they won't be recasting. Viewers are really excited about this hit show returning.
