Ingredients:
5 lbs Chicken wingets
½ tsp. Garlic powder
½ tsp Black pepper
1 tsp. Kosher salt
½ tsp. Goya adobo powder
2 packets Goya sazon (con azafran)
2-3 tbsp margarine (Preferably earth balance or smart balance brand)(optional)
½ cup hot sauce
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Combine garlic powder, pepper, salt, adobo, and sazon, and thoroughly coat chicken. For best flavor allow chicken to marinade in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours.
Place chicken on a large foil lined baking sheet in an even layer.
Bake for 1.5 hours, turning chicken every ½ hour, chicken should be crisp on both sides.
In a small saucepan melt margarine, add the hot sauce and stir to combine. Pour sauce over chicken coating both sides and bake for an additional 10 minutes to set the sauce onto the chicken. This last step is optional but allows the sauce to spread through the chicken and enhances the flavor.
Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, enjoy!
*Tips
Recipe can be doubled or tripled etc. according to your game day needs.
The use of margarine is to mild the heat of the hot sauce, the more you add the less kick in your wings. Omitting the margarine will create extremely hot wings.
