The HBO motion picture "Game Change" has won a Golden Globe Award for Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture made for Television on Jan. 13 at the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards, Beverly Hills, Calif. The Golden Globe Awards are presented by The Hollywood Foreign Press Association and honor the best in film and television. Tonight’s show was hosted by SNL alumni Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and broadcast around the world from the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
This is "Game Change's" first Golden Globe win of the evening. It was also nominated for:
- Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television to Sarah Paulson
- Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television to actress Julianne Moore.
- Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television to actor Ed Harris.
- Best Performance by and Actor in a Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television to actor Woody Harrelson
"Game Change," is an HBO television film that follows John McCain's (Ed Harris) 2008 presidential campaign, from his selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin (Julianne Moore) as his running mate to their ultimate defeat in the general election.
