Tell us a little about your background?
I started as a plus-size model and got bit by the production bug. That lead me to trying my hand at lots of different behind the scenes jobs. Now I've produced over 20 Fashion Shows in Atlanta. Last year I thought it was time to produce my own event and that's when I created Curves Fashion Week.
Do you still do any modeling?
Yes I still do some modeling, I'm a Plus-Fit model for Spanx amongst other things.
So what's coming up for Curves this year, what can we look forward to?
This year you can look forward to modeling workshops, and a health panel that we've partnered with the American Diabetes Association to do. Also, our kick off event is a food meets fashion event. This event will function as a fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association.
I hear you're also planning a cruise event, tell me more about that?
Carnival is sponsoring our runway shows this year and we are having a 5 day cruise to the Bahamas. So we're taking fashion and curvy women from land to sea this year!
What can we look for from you personally this year?
This year I'm reaching out to several people to bring the Atlanta fashion world to the forefront. We've conquered sports, film and so much more but the world has yet to see all that we have to offer in the realm of fashion.
Any final comments, or things you'd like the world to know?
I would love for the world to know about Curves Fashion Week, it is a one of a kind event. It is the only inclusive fashion week, where you have standard sizes and plus sizes on the same runway under the same production. Not to mention that we are the only Fashion Week cruise.
