Galloping into the Year of the Horse!

Today is the officially the Year of the Wooden Horse, according to the Chinese Lunar Calendar. There will be banquets, parades, little red envelopes with money in them and many festivities. If you live in the New York City area and you want to partake in the Lunar New Year festivities, here are some events you may want to check out.

  • MOON OVER MANHATTAN! CELEBRATE LUNAR NEW YEAR!

  • 15th CHINATOWN LUNAR NEW YEAR PARADE & FESTIVAL
    Date: Sunday, February 2nd, 2014
    Time: 1:00 p.m.
    Location: Starts at Little Italy and goes through the main streets of Lower Chinatown/Manhattan
    Cultural Festival & Booth: Sara Roosevelt Park (Canal & Forsyth St.) One block from major subway system, next to Manhattan Bridge, nearby all out of town buses, and surrounded by major market place.
  • FLUSHING LUNAR NEW YEAR PARADE
    Date: Saturday, February 8, 2014
    Time: 10:00 a.m.
    Location: Union St and 37th Ave and usually ends at Main St and 39th Ave.
