Gallery announces series of Beatles photo exhibits for 50th anniversary

The San Francisco Art Exchange announced on Jan. 17 it will be celebrating the Beatles' 50th annivesary throughout the year 2014 with a series of exhibits displaying photos and collectibles related to the Fab Four, plus a number of special events.

The displays will include “Abbey Road Photographs,” the original photographs by Iain Macmillan from the photo session for the “Abbey Road” album cover; a display of photos by Robert Freeman, who shot the album covers for “With the Beatles”/”Meet the Beatles!” and “Beatles for Sale”, photos by legendary rock photographer Jim Marshall, whose work includes pictures of the Beatles at Candlestick Park on the night of their final scheduled concert and photos by Ringo Starr from his just released portfolio that were included in his recently published “Photograph” book for Genesis Publications.
