Landon Donovan ties all-time MLS scoring record, as the LA Galaxy wins the last SuperClasico of 2013 against Chivas USA with a blowout of 5-0 at the HubStub Center in Carson, California, on Sunday afternoon.
As reported by the ESPN on Sunday, the Galaxy pummelled Chivas 5-0. The goals were made by the dynamic duo, Landon Donovan and Irish forward Robbie Keane, with an additional goal made by rookie Gyasi Zardes.
Landon Donovan scored two goals for the LA Galaxy on Sunday. One in the 23rd minute, and the other in the 41st minute. The second goal gave Donovan the tying record for being the player for scoring the most goals in the history of the MLS league.
Irish forward Robbie Keane scored two goals as well. Keane made his goals in the 6th minute and 90th minute during stoppage time.
As for rookie Gyasi Zarders, he got two assist and added a goal in the 26th minute. Zarders who leads the Galaxy team with the most shots has been having problems scoring. On Sunday against Chivas, Zardes managed to be a teamplayer and a scorer.
The match between the LA Galaxy and Chivas USA was the third SuperClasico of 2013. With Sunday’s result, the Galaxy takes two victories with a tie.
