According to Cinema Blend on Dec. 26, Gal Gadot, the Israeli actress chosen to play the role of Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder's "Batman vs. Superman", talked about the controversy associated with her size as comparable to that of the Amazonian DC comic book character. The interview conducted was on a website written in Hebrew and thus translated by a frequent reader of the Batman News website.
Gadot was questioned specifically of Wonder Woman's sizable bust and large stature. The actress decided to respond in kind that if one were to split hairs, Amazon women only had one breast for the purpose of handling a javelin and Gadot considered herself "the Wonder Woman of the new world".
"Wonder Woman is amazonian, and historically accurate amazonian women actually had only one breast. So, if I’d really go 'by the book'…it’d be problematic".
At this point, Galdot is gearing up to get physically fit for the role which is scheduled to be shooting the first half of the following year. Gadot will be following a strict diet and exercise regimen. By no doubt, Gadot will be partaking in multitudes of different martial arts and other forms of fighting assuring her a good amount of body mass by the time she's ready to be on the set.
It's not entirely sure how the Wonder Woman character will make her debut in "Batman vs. Superman", but it could set the precedence of a "Justice League" movie. Rumors going around include Wonder Woman only doing a cameo in the Zack Snyder film to the idea of her origin story being in the film could wind up just getting the film structurally disorganized.
"Batman vs. Superman" is scheduled to be released in July of 2015.
