Gain free admission to Bay Area cultural institutions this Saturday

Are you a member of the de Young Museum but dying to get over to the MOMA to see the Jasper Johns exhibit before it moves on? Now is your chance because this Saturday, January 19, 2013, you can gain two free admissions to many Bay Area cultural institutions simply by presenting your membership card from another participating location.

This “Member for a Day” deal is reciprocal and participating institutions include: the Asian Art Museum, the Berkeley Art Museum/Pacific Film Archive, the Cartoon Art Museum, the Contemporary Jewish Museum, the de Young Museum, the Legion of Honor, the Museum of the African Diaspora, Oakland Museum of California, SF Camerawork, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Walt Disney Family Museum, and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.

Head over to the Legion of Honor to see “Royal Treasures from the Louvre” or to the Walt Disney Family Museum to learn about stop motion animation (think Gumby…). These are just two of the many options you can choose from this weekend. Enjoy your free admission and have a great time!
