Organizers are working to recruit up to 3,000 volunteers for he 2014 South by Southwest (SXSW) film, interactive and music festivals, which take place in Austin from March 7 to 16. Volunteering gives peopl a a unique opportunity to catch a glimpse of what happens behind the scenes at SXSW, while earning a chance to see informative panels, listen to an up-and-coming band, attend a panel with an emerging filmmaker, or catch the latest Internet sensation.

The 2014 festivals offer a wide range of volunteer opportunities. Jobs include festival production, registration, information, trade show, technical support, and much more. Day and night positions are available during the conference. Volunteers must be able to work a minimum of 30 hours or three shifts during the event, depending on their crew type.

Applications are available online and crew shift selections will take place on Saturday, January 18, and Tuesday, January 28, at the Austin Convention Center.
