Lady Gaga always creates a sensation wherever she goes, and things were no different when she took her act on the road to Canada. Two major fashion flaws got everyone's attention up north. The controversial singer's too-tight pants split onstage while she was performing, and she donned a bra top complete with plastic machine guns that met with a horrified reaction by the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, according to a Jan. 15, 2013 report by The Huffington Post. Fortunately, both fashion fau pas didn't happen at the same time. However, they did happen on the same day.
This wasn't the first time the performance artist wore a bra with weapons protruding from it. She has worn the same or similar bras during other live concerts, and Gaga wears a gun bra in the video for "Alejandro." With her history of wearing machine guns on her chest, what's the big deal now? Apparently her post-Sandy Hook shooting appearances were more controversial than those that preceded the tragic incident. With the nation's eyes turned toward gun control, her wardrobe choice was considered particularly gauche.
This weekend's wardrobe malfunction might be the first time Gaga split her pants onstage, at least in such a dramatic manner. After riding a motorcycle onstage, Gaga turned to reveal that her black latex pants by Versace had split right down the middle of her assets. The big reveal took place during a concert on Fri., Jan. 11, 2013 in Vancouver. According to a report by OMG!, the show must go on, and it did. Lady Gaga performed despite the split in her Versace pants.
