GAC to air Luke Bryan's 'Farm Tour' special (Video)

The Great American Country (GAC) network will be airing a leg of Luke Bryan's "Farm Tour" on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, which was filmed in Athens, Ga.

Bryan shines in this concert special filmed in Athens, Ga. and feels right at home, since he was born and raised on a farm in a small town in Georgia. Bryan's father was a peanut farmer and this tells us a lot about why this tour is so special to him. Bryan's website has this to say about the Farm Tour:

The idea for the Farm Tour concerts came from Luke as a way to give back to local farming communities by celebrating and lifting up the American Farmer and offering a fun escape with the outdoor shows. Proceeds from the concerts will go to a scholarship for a student from a farming family attending the local college.

The "2012 Farm Tour" was held from Oct. 3rd through Oct. 13th, 2012, with stops in several cities drawing over 100,000 fans.

Bryan is having a terrific year with record sales, and his popularity is soaring. Bryan recently won an award for "Favorite Male Country Artist" at the American Music Awards earlier this month.

Bryan will be launching his first big solo tour, "Dirt Road Diaries Tour" in 2013, as well as making an appearance at the Bayou Country Superfest on Memorial Day weekend at LSU's Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La.

Be sure to catch Luke Bryan's Farm Tour special on GAC Wednesday night at 9:00 p.m. CST.
