Comedian Gabe Kaplan returns to Miami this weekend, along with a group of fellow musician and comedians as they lead a 50th year anniversary tribute to "The Flick Coffeehouse," the iconic place where they all hung out before becoming famous.

"If you were in high school, college or a folk music fan, you found yourself at 'The Flick,'" said Kaplan. "It's where I performed when I was in I was 22-to-25. It's why I want to bring together a few of the regulars to revisit and celebrate a time when we were all looking forward to bright futures," said Kaplan, who went on to national fame as the star of the TV series "Welcome Back Kotter."

He credited the Flick for bringing together such major talents of the day as David Crosby, Jimmy Buffett, Jerry Jeff Walker, Dion, Tom Rush and Joni Mitchell. Kaplan first met John Sebastian there, who went on to write (among other things), the famous "Welcome Back Kotter" theme song.

Joining him will be guitarist-singer-poet Estrella Berosini (Joni Mitchell's "Lady of the Canyon"), Grove icon Bobby Ingram, singer-songwriter Vince Martin ("Cindy, Oh Cindy"), folk singer Chuck Mitchell (masterful interpreter of Brecht and Wiell) and singer-songwriters Michael Smith and Barbara Barrow. ("The Dutchman"), among others.

The site of the reunion will be the The Titanic Pub and Brewery, which is now where the the elegantly decorated, stained glass lamp adorned Coral Gables coffeehouse was located. The two-day concert fest will take place this Friday and Saturday, March 28-29, at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 30 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Only 100 tickets are available for each show, and some seatings are already sold out.

The concert is a benefit for The Dolphin Project.
