Gabby Douglas got a special treat on Monday night. The athlete was honored for her athletic ability and sportsmanship at the Cartoon Network's third annual Hall of Game Awards held in Santa Monica, California. The award show recognized talented athletes from America and as we all know Gabby’s celebrity status is because of her amazing performance at the London Olympics.
Taking the stage, the petite athlete took home the She’s Got Game trophy for the night. Recognizing her amazing performance during the international competition at the Olympics, the star of the 2012 U.S. Women’s Olympic Gymnastics Team was individually honored by the show as well as honored with the team for an additional award.
Looking far more mature than her teammates, the young star gave off the sense of a champion when she graced the stage of the show. Smiling and delighted, it appeared that she appreciated the opportunity to be honored.
