Kidnapped from her home at gunpoint on Tuesday morning around 2 a.m., Ga. teen Ayvani Hope Perez is now safe and two of her kidnappers have been captured by law enforcement. But two more men are being sought in connection with the crime, according to a Sept. 18 WSB TV report.
The two men taken into police custody thanks to the FBI, GBI and Clayton County Police Department, include career criminal Wildrego Jackson and Juan Alberto Rodriguez, who also has a history of crime in the state.
Wildrego Jackson has a long rap sheet for prior criminal activity, with the Georgia Department of Corrections records revealing the 5-foot-6, 160 pound black male with brown eyes was most recently incarcerated at the Lee State Prison until he was released in April 2007.
Known to have used 14 aliases and arrested for marijuana and cocaine drug possession charges, as well as an obstruction of officer charge, Jackson still only did less than a year prison time for a five-year sentence before he allegedly re-offended this week, accused now of kidnapping a teen girl from her home after shooting the family dog.
This case shows it isn't always the wisest course of action to give nonviolent offenders a break when it comes to early release. And his alleged partner in crime, Juan Alberto Rodriguez, has a criminal record in Georgia to, with his priors including trafficking in Methamphetamine and cocaine, according to his GDC criminal record.
Rodriguez served only two years and three and a half months on his 10-year sentence, again making some in the state question the early release of drug offenders, just because they may not have committed a known violent offense in the past.
