New girl group G.R.L. released its debut music video for "Vacation" on Monday. The five ladies clean up their house (awful boyfriends included) and party together. Former Spice Girl Mel B also makes a cameo appearance in the cheerful clip.
G.R.L. originally premiered "Vacation" as a b-side to Britney Spears' "Ooh La La" single from "The Smurfs 2" soundtrack back in June. On the infectious electro-pop track, the ladies of G.R.L. sing about saying bye bye to a former flame in favor of some fun times. "I'm on vacation tonight / I'm gonna lose my mind with someone new," they declare together.
G.R.L. was originally touted to be a new version of Robin Antin's The Pussycat Dolls, but she thought the girls be better off as a completely new group. The five ladies in G.R.L. include "Party Rock Anthem" singer Lauren Bennett, Paula van Oppen, Natasha Slayton, Emmalyn Estrada and Simone Battle, a finalist on season one of "The X Factor" U.S.
In the video for "Vacation," the ladies of G.R.L. are hanging around the house with their boyfriends. While they are trying to get work done, the guys just loaf around and make a mess of everything. G.R.L. later kicks the guys out and reclaims control of the messy situation. Cute choreography routines and good times ensue afterword. The vacation becomes even more real when Spice Girl Mel B picks up the ladies in her car and whisks them away. It's a fun little video that compliments the bubbly sound behind their debut single.
"Vacation" is now available on iTunes.
