"The Americans" stars Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys as two sleeper KGB spies posing as Americans in suburban D.C. in the early 1980s. It co-stars Noah Emmerich, Holly Taylor and Keidrich Sellati.

Season 1 guest stars Susan Misner, Annet Mahendru and Alison Wright have also been promoted to series regulars, while Margo Martindale will return as Elizabeth (Russell) and Phillip's (Rhys) KGB handler Claudia.

The premiere date announcement comes a day after reports surfaced that Russell and Rhys are a couple in real life. Russell announced earlier this month that she and her husband Shane Deary have split after seven years of marriage.

The drama debuted to 5.1 million viewers in January, ranking as FX’s most-watched drama debut to date ahead of the premieres of "Sons Of Anarchy" and "American Horror Story." The cable network renewed the show in February with a 13-episode order.

Season 2 of "The Americans" will open with Philip going undercover as a Texan. Production on the second season is currently underway in New York City.
