FX’s border drama, The Bridge has been renewed and given a 13 episode order, according to The Hollywood Reporter. And, if you’ve been following the show, it would make absolute sense. With an interesting set of characters, not to mention how well it fit with the kinds of dramas the network has on their schedule; it’s hard to think they wouldn’t have renewed it.
The show, an adaptation of Scandinavian program Bron, takes place on both sides of the U.S./ Mexican border, follows two detectives Ruiz (Demian Bichir) and Cross (Diane Kruger) from Juarez and El Paso respectively, after a woman is found murdered and cut in half on the Bridge of the Americas and set out to find a serial killer. It’s been an interesting arc to see play out that, according to executive producer Elwood Reid earlier this year at the TCAs, the mystery would be resolved as we have seen in the last few episodes and the second season would not be about a singular crime.
Can’t wait to see what they have in store for the last two episodes of this season and how next season will be set up.
The Bridge airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on FX.
