All Things Go has just announced that Future Islands will be headlining their first ever music festival. The music blog and record label, has been featuring indie bands and up-and-comers across various genres. Including Astronomy, The Colourists, UNIIQU3, Frame, INK, and more. Now they plan to bring these acts to the DC public for a day of live music.
The inaugural festival, dubbed The All Things Go Fall Classic, will take place on September 13, 2014 at Union Market, from 12pm to 10pm. With its recent makeover, Union Market has become a favorite for some residents and recent transplants to the city. The city’s mission to turn NOMA, North of Massachusetts Avenue, into a trendy neighborhood seems to be working.
On the festivals roster there is Haerts, Bear Hands, Panama Wedding, local act US Royalty, Sun Club, Young Summer, Tove Lo, and headliner Future Islands. A line up that you would expect from the blog/record label, festival goers should be pleased.
They should also be pleased with the selection of food choices being made available at the festival. Toki Underground alone is a powerhouse in the DC restaurant scene, one of the most talked about ramen restaurants and restaurants in general in the city. Along with Toki Underground, attendees will be able to choose from Takorean, The Bespoke Kitchen, Dolcezza, and more food options. Hopefully there will be enough vegan and vegetarian options, which is a complaint heard from some festival goers about festival food options.
With no updates as of yet about Virgin Mobile FreeFest, The All Things Go Fall Classic can be in a prime position to be the great end of summer festival for DC music lovers this year.
Tickets are on sale now at allthingsgofallclassic.com. $45 early bird tickets are still available, general advance tickets will be $50.
