Future and Ciara already causing controversy

For months, rumors have been wildly circulating about Atlanta musicians Future and Ciara sharing more than just a friendship, and on Tuesday the rapper (real name: Navyvadius Cash) finally confirmed that they’re dating when he stopped by DJ Posterchild’s show on Hot 107.9. “We love being around each other and that’s just what it is, Future says. “The chemistry is there, it’s amazing.”

Ciara hasn’t issued any statements about the relationship so far, but she did post a photo on Instagram of NASA-themed jacket that some say is a nod to Future’s “Pluto” album.

But it’s not all butterflies and pillow talk. Brittni Mealy, who is one of two women whom Future’s has a child with, is waging a mostly one-sided Twitter war against the new couple, going so far as to imply that Future’s drug use is getting in the way of his parenting responsibilities. “Do MOLLY make people forget about their responsibility??? Just curious. I never took one,” Brittni posted on Wednesday, January 23 (Molly is slang for pure MDMA, the psychoactive ingredient found in ecstasy tablets).

On Thursday, she indicated that she has no self-confidence issues when it comes to comparing herself to musicians, tweeting, “Just as fabulous.....the industry got WHORES too.”

Ciara is no stranger to controversial romances or mama drama; her former trysts with Bow Wow and 50 Cent ended very poorly, and her recent break-up with Amar’e Stoudemire was quickly followed by him reuniting with and proposing to his baby mama. But Future, still riding high after an enormously successful 2012, has denied any and all controversy surrounding his new girl.

“Sometimes people present it like it’s true and they think they have the facts, but at the end of the day, we know what’s true and what’s not true...” Future says. “It’s only comments, rumors and speculations. As long as we have that understanding, no one can ever come between us.”
