The year 2013 is almost over and Nintendo fans want to know what is going to happen for the upcoming year pertaining to the Wii U. Sales are not looking the greatest but at least the system has one thing over the other next-gen consoles; it's backwards compatible. That means you can use all your old controllers, accessories, and games. There is no need to purchase a whole new library full of games just to play the new system. Was Nintendo right for doing that? Of course! Why? Well, if you have not noticed already, people are already bored with the new PS4 and Xbox One because there are only a very few games for them. Let us not forget that besides sports, the PS4 and Xbox One only has two to three games that are appropriate for children.
But besides that, what can gamers hope to expect out of Nintendo for the 2014 year to beat out Sony and Microsoft? More games? More technology? What? But before anyone makes any assumptions about the Wii U, one must recap what we already know is going to come out at the beginning of the 2014 year!
- Wii Fit U (Packaged Version and Bundle) - 1/10
- Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze - Feb 2014
- Mario Kart 8 - Spring 2014
- Bayonetta 2 - 2014
- Hyrule Warriors (name not final) - 2014
- Super Smash Bros U - 2014
As of right now, that is the latest list straight from the Nintendo website. Any other news beyond this point are all rumors as to what gamers want to see for the upcoming 2014 year.
- An Update to Wii U system to allow use of two tablet controllers
- Pokemon Battle U game

- Legend of the Seven Stars HD Part 2
