Earlier today, anime and video game publisher NIS America announced that it has acquired the animated film, “Fusé: Memoirs of a Huntress”, for release in North America this May.

Directed by Masayuki Miyaji, “Fusé: Memoirs of a Huntress” follows the journey of Hamaji, a young huntress from the mountains who finds herself being dragged into a conflict between a shogun and the Fusé, human/dog hybrids. Initially joining the hunt for the “dangerous” Fusé, alongside her brother, Hamaji eventually befriends one of her prey, creating a conflict within.

“Fusé: Memoirs of a Huntress” will be released on a single Blu-ray disc in NIS America’s premium edition packaging, with an SRP of $49.99, beginning on May 6, 2014. The film will be bundled with a hardcover, full-color, 32-page art book filled with character info, concept sketches, setting illustrations as well as an interview with the director.
