Fury to face the Capitals in the 2010 USA Ultimate Women’s Club Championship

The Capitals, ultimate Frisbee team from the Ottowa/Toronto area in Canada, will battle San Francisco-based Fury in the final game of the 2010 USA Ultimate Club Women’s Championship tournament final.

The tournament, held in Sarasota, Fla., spans from Oct. 28 to Oct. 31. The final game will be held Sunday, Oct. 31.

The Capitals entered into the tournament seeded fourth. The women went undefeated in the first round of pool play but took second in the second round, going 2-1 and losing to Fury.

In the quarterfinals, the Capitals trounced Traffic 15-7 and then beat first-seeded Riot 15-13 in a surprising semifinal upset.

Fury, seeded second, went undefeated in both rounds of pool play. In quarterfinals, Fury defeated Phoenix 15-9 followed by a 15-11 win over Brutesquad in the semifinals.
