Every day there are thousands of homeless pets in shelters in metro Atlanta who all have the same wish - a forever home. They are dreaming of waking up in a home where they are loved and cherished and are a member of the family.
Since February is the month we celebrate love, I will be featuring pets from local shelters and rescue groups who want to be your furry Valentine this year. These sweethearts want nothing more than their very own human and a warm place to sleep at night.
Around here, I am known as Larry the lover boy. I was rescued from Cobb County Animal Control, for which I am very thankful to Furkids. After all, I am too wonderful of a cat to be stuck in animal control. I did test positive for FIV, but I still plan to live a long and healthy life. I have a great coat of white and orange, complete with an orange tail. I enjoy the companionship of humans so feel free to give me loads of attention. I really love to give my kitty affection in return. If you’ve thought of giving a home to an FIV+ kitty, then I think I would be the purrrfect choice. Apply to meet me today!
The following information on FIV+ cats is from the Furkids Facebook page: “Furkids is one of only a few animal rescue organizations in Georgia that has a location dedicated location to house FIV+ cats. Through public awareness and education, our goal is to place our FIV+ cats into loving, permanent homes where they can flourish. The first thing to realize is that FIV is not a death sentence! Adopting an FIV+ cat is virtually the same as adopting any other cat — they are affectionate, beautiful, funny, playful, and special in their own unique ways.”
