Every day there are thousands of homeless pets in shelters in metro Atlanta who all have the same wish - a forever home. They are dreaming of waking up in a home where they are loved and cherished and are a member of the family.
Since February is the month we celebrate love, I will be featuring pets from local shelters and rescue groups who want to be your furry Valentine this year. These sweethearts want nothing more than their very own human and a warm place to sleep at night.
Hi, I am Cinderella and I am misunderstood. Some people say I am unpredictable because one minute I am really sweet and giving head-butts and following potential adopters around, and the next I will hiss or swat. Well, I only hiss or swat when another cat is trying to steal the spotlight from me. If I am trying to work it with the visitors, then the other kitties need to stay out of my space. I am really trying hard to find my forever home. So yea, I can be a little feisty sometimes, but wouldn’t you if you lived with 80 people? So once I am in a home, I know I will be the perfect little angel.
I have something else to tell you about myself: I am performer. Yup, I perform for the visitors. I have myself a cat wheel and when people are around, I jump on it and run and run. And then all the visitors laugh and clap. They think it is so cool. I am hoping my new family will buy me a cat wheel when I go home. And nope, I don’t get to take this one home, I already asked.
So because I am having a hard time finding my special family, I am the featured cat for February! And February is the month of love, so if you are looking for that special someone to fall in love with, how about picking me! My adoption fee is reduced 50%! So come on by and see me run on the wheel and then take me home!

Good Mews is a cage-free, no-kill cat shelter offering an alternative to traditional animal shelters in the Metro Atlanta area. They provide a safe haven for homeless, abused, or abandoned cats until they can be placed in permanent, loving homes. Since 1988, Good Mews has placed almost 7,000 cats in forever homes. The shelter receives no government support and relies solely on donations of time, services, goods and money from its many supporters and local businesses. Good Mews is home to approximately 100 residents on any given day – most of whom reside at the Shelter in Marietta, with some cats residing in foster homes.
