Furkids seeking help for motherless kittens

Furkids is a metro Atlanta animal rescue group that operates the largest cage-free, no-kill shelter in the Southeast for rescued cats and a no-kill shelter for dogs. The Furkids mission is to help end pet overpopulation in Georgia through sterilization, high-quality adoption and by providing valuable spay/neuter services and pet care education to people in the community.

In 2013, Furkids saved 1,597 dogs and cats and found forever homes for 1,351 dogs and cats. As of April 30 of this year, Furkids has saved 811 animals and adopted out 581 animals. Click here to read more about Furkids’ mission and history.

Last week, Furkids posted the following donation plea on their Facebook page:

Since March, we have rescued more than 140 motherless baby kittens in need of round the clock feedings, formula and special care! We took in 10 more bottle babies JUST TODAY. Our Bottle Baby Brigade is an amazing group of hard core volunteers that give their heart and soul trying to save these babies. Most studies show less than 40% of orphaned kittens will live. We have been able to save more than 80% of the orphans rescued this season so far!!!

We really could use help providing all of these little orphans with formula. Donating just $12 will supply a new baby kitten with a week's worth of their delicious "milk".

So donate a can or two of milk today and help keep their tummies happy!
