Furious airline passengers revolt

Fuming their plane was diverted to another airport without warning, passengers on a Ryanair flight took over the aircraft and held it hostage for four hours.

More than 100 passengers were returning to Beauvais, France, from Morocco. But because the flight left Morocco three hours late, the plane could not land at the French airport because it had closed for the evening. So Ryanair diverted the plane to Belgium.

When passengers found out, they were enraged and staged a sit-in for four hours. Tense negotiations ensued, and the drama finally ended around 3:30 a.m.
