Ever since Conan was shown the door by NBC earlier this year, "Team Coco" has been waiting-- with increasing impatience-- for Conan O'Brien to make his triumphant return to television. The good news is, the wait's almost over: TBS will debut Conan in early November, which means that we have only a month or so before we'll all be able to add Conan to our DVR's once again. The better news is, TBS has just released 10 new commericals featuring Conan to help promote the series (as though Conan needs any promotion). Check 'em out below, my gentle Examiner readers...
TBS is apparently sparing no expense when it comes to promoting Conan, the forthcoming series that Conan O'Brien's fans have been frothing at the mouth to get a look at for the past six months. A few weeks ago, the network debuted a handful of ads that featured the 80's hit "Missing You", the best of which featured an old man and the world's emptiest strip club. Now they've released a new ad campaign-- one featuring Conan aboard a blimp-- and we've got all 10 of the new commercials over there on the left for your viewing pleasure. Don't say we never gave ya nothin', Comedy Examiner readers.

The show-- simply titled Conan, as though you didn't already know-- debuts on November 8th, so the wait isn't too much longer. For the time being, we're still not sure if Conan's going to be sticking to the same format that he used on The Tonight Show and Late Night, but in all likelihood it'll be very similar: it's a talk show, and there's only so many changes you can make to a talk show (just ask The Jay Leno Show, which tried to claim that it wasn't a talk show). We do know that Max Weinberg isn't making the jump to TBS with Coco (frowny-face), but we're still hoping that Andy Richter will be along for the ride.
Check out those commercials on the left, Team Coco fans (er, members?), and stay tuned for more on Conan as it becomes available. We'll have more updates as we get closer to the debut of TBS' Conan on November 8th, so hit the "Subscribe" button up top to get all future Comedy Examiner updates re: your favorite former Tonight Show host delivered straight to your inbox, free of charge, as they're published.
