William Shatner: Loves mountains, perhaps a little too much
Yes, you read that headline correctly: we've got a funny video starring none other than William Shatner discussing his love of mountain...er, climbing. We're not sure what the story is behind this video, but that's irrelevant: it's funny, and that's all you need to know. Read on for the precious hilarity, my gentle Examiner readers....
Why should you watch a video featuring William "Captain Kirk" Shatner that's got a way-too-close-to-techno for comfort soundtrack in which the iconic actor conveys his desperate need to (ahem) conquer a mountain? Because it's there, of course. What other reason do you need? Check it out below, my precious snowflakes:
This is the sort of "Funny Video" that no amount of commentary is going to make better, so we're not even going to attempt it. Instead, why don't you check out the updated version of yesterday's "Funny Video of The Day", which featured that wacky "Drunk robot bandito trading gunfire and doing shots" commercial? We got in touch with the makers of the commercial and were able to get some backstory on the clip (we're not expecting to do the same for the one above), so head on back and check out the update if you didn't catch that. Drunk robots and mountain-loving Starship Captains: that's what you can expect from the Comedy Examiner's Office.
Stay tuned for more from the Comedy Examiner's Office. We've got news, reviews, interviews, funny videos, recaps, and all manner of other shenanigans to keep you busy while you're supposedly being productive at work. Why, just look at all the fun you've been missing by not being signed up already:

SEAN PENN BACK ABOARD THE "THREE STOOGES" REMAKE? THAT'S THE WORD ON THE STREET-- in which we find out that the "Mystic River" star is set to appear as Larry in the Farrelly Brothers' "Three Stooges" reboot. This is really happening.
FUNNY NEWS: DID JAMES CAMERON REALLY RIP-OFF DISNEY'S "POCAHONTAS" TO MAKE "AVATAR"?-- in which we look at one very funny picture that seems to have cracked the case on the "Avatar"/"Pocahontas" connection.
IS NBC GETTING READY TO GIVE "THE JAY LENO SHOW" THE BOOT? THAT'S THE RUMOR-- in which we offer up the theory that "The Jay Leno Show" is being primed for a good, solid dumping by NBC. Read it and weep, Leno fans.
