Funny Video: The 'I'm on a horse' Old Spice commercial gets a sequel, and it's pretty damn good

Isaiah Mustafa returns in a new commercial for Old Spice's "I'm on a horse" campaign

One of the biggest commercials of the past year has to be the "I'm on a horse" Old Spice commercial featuring Isaiah Mustafa.  You know the one I'm talking about.  Old Spice has brought us some of the funniest commercials over the years-- an ad campaign with none other than Bruce Campbell comes to mind-- but this new series of ads might be their best yet.  In the video below, Mustafa returns with a sequel to the "I'm on a horse" ad, and it's just as funny as the first one was.  See it for yourselves below, my gentle Examiner readers...

We don't normally run commercials here at the Comedy Examiner's Office, much less sequels to commercials (but we have featured stranger things).  But when the commercial in question is the "I'm on a horse" Old Spice ad starring Isaiah Mustafa, we'll be happy to make an exception.  Old Spice has just debuted the latest bit of advertising featuring Mustafa, and it may be just as good as the first entry in this particular series.  Check it out:

Say what you will about Old Spice, and say what you will about advertising in general, but the "I'm on a horse" guy gets the full stamp of approval from the Comedy Examiner's Office (which is a high honor, indeed).  Recently, Mustafa was approached by NBC about the possibility of a sitcom-- a show based around him and his personality (sounds familiar, huh?), not around his Old Spice commercials-- but so far nothing new's come out about those conversations.  Perhaps the networks learned their lesson after Cavemen?  At any rate, we'll be keeping our eyes peeled for future commercials from this campaign.  Stay tuned, my precious snowflakes.

While you're here, make sure you vote in our current Comedy Examiner's Office poll: "Who should replace Steve Carell on The Office now that he's leaving?" Right now, Ricky Gervais is leading, but with your help, Tony Soprano might come in first. Yeah, it's that kinda poll. Stay tuned for more as it becomes available. In the meantime, we've got all manner of funny videos, news, reviews, interviews, recaps, funny pictures, and more to keep you entertained all summer long, so hit the "Subscribe" button up top to get all of it delivered straight to your inbox, free of charge, the moment it's published. Why, if that wasn't enough, we've also got some other recent Comedy Examiner articles for you to look over while you're here:
