The video below's not just your average entry from the Funny or Die school of funny videos.  Oh, no, this one's got the award-winning David Mamet behind it.  Take a moment to let that sink in-- that David Mamet has produced something in conjunction with Funny or Die-- and then check out the video below, which features an interview with Danny DeVito on the set of his latest film, Gandhi 2.  Check it out for yourselves below, my gentle Examiner readers...

Ben Kingsley delivered the ultimate version of Gandhi onscreen, but who's to say that another actor--Danny DeVito, for instance-- couldn't come along and make that script even more magical?  That's the idea behind the clip below, which was written and directed by David Mamet (of all people) for Funny or Die.  Like any good Mamet production, the video below operates on a few different levels: it's a parody of Inside The Actor's Studio, Hollywood's need to remake everything, and actors that take themselves too seriously.  Check it out below, folks.

Clever, but I think I would've enjoyed it more if I hadn't read "True and False" and thus didn't already know how much Mamet disrespects and misunderstands acting.
Besides, Weird Al did a much funnier Gandhi II sketch in his film UHF.
