Funny Friday: 'History of the World: Part 1' (1981)

If you have a funny bone and love classic comedies, then stick with the new feature, Funny Friday. If you haven't noticed by now, for my articles every day of the week has something to do with classic movies like Mystery Monday or Wandering Wednesday! Anyway, Funny Friday looks at classic comedies, the first pick is a Mel Brooks film, "History of the World: Part I."

The film is made up of five historical periods, it starts with the stone age and ends with the French revolution. It's history, the Mel Brooks way! Fun fact, Orson Welles narrated his voice for the film. Mel Brooks, Dom DeLuise, Madeline Kahn, Harvey Korman, Cloris Leachman, John Hurt, Gregory Hines, Bea Arthur, Sid Caesar, and many other famous names!

My personal favorite era in the movie is the French Revolution story, though each other era has its own funny merit. Really if you haven't seen this movie, you're missing out. That goes with saying if you've never seen a Mel Brook's movie, then you're certainly really are missing out!

So the first pick of Funny Friday goes to the Brooks movie, "History of the World: Part I. If you're not sure what to do tonight, go and rent this movie at your local video store. If you have your own copy, watch it tonight, and get some laughs out of it!
