Funeral held for child who was left in van as family went to church (photos)

A funeral was held on Sunday for a three-year-old girl who was accidentally left in a hot van while her family attended church services.  Rubensa Shakinah ‘Hally’ Rozin was laid to rest after a service at the Bethanie Seventh Day Adventist Haitian Church was attended by hundreds.  You may see photos of little Hally here: Hally Rozin photos

The tragic death came as a sad shock to the community as some have wondered whether charges will be filed.  At this point, it appears that the death of little Hally was an accident and the child’s parents, do not want charges pressed against the relative who was responsible for bringing Hally to church last Sunday.

According to reports, Rodine Rigby, Hally’s second cousin, had brought Hally, a 1-year-old baby, and a 12-year-old boy to church services at the Ebenezer Baptist Haitian Church.  The 12-year-old boy brought the 1-year-old to the nursery and Rodine went to adult church.  Hally was accidentally left in the van for approximately 90 minutes.  She was taken to Tampa General Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
