A kickoff fundraiser for San Bernardino County Sheriff candidate Paul Schrader is being held in Oak Glen on Thursday, August 22, 2013. The fundraiser is hosted by James Patrick Riley of Riley’s Farms.
Schrader is running for the office of Sheriff for San Bernardino County in 2014. He is running as a “Constitutional Sheriff,” meaning that his priority will be to uphold the United States Constitution, a priority not shared by most county sheriffs in recent memory.
Schrader does not believe in practices that result in violation of search and seizure provisions such as DUI roadblocks and or code enforcement officers who enter private property without legal authority to do so. He has also promised a deputy to be assigned to monitor animal shelters and animal abuse situations countywide.
The event will run from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. A home-cooked barbeque dinner is included in the cost of a ticket. There will be hay rides, live music and a silent auction. The event takes place at Riley's Farm, 12261 S. Oak Glen Road, Oak Glen, Calif., 909-797-7534.
Tickets start at just $25 per person or $40 for a couple. Sponsorship tables begin at $800. If you would like to promote your business or organization, you can set up a table for $300. For more information, check out Schrader’s webpage at www.sheriffpaul2014.com.
