Fundraiser for Tournament of Roses Foundation coming up at El Cholo Café

El Cholo Café is hosting its annual fundraiser for the Tournament of Roses Foundation on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. El Cholo will donate 15 percent of all food and beverage checks between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. to the Foundation. In 2013, El Cholo donated $1,000 to the Foundation from its receipts. The main event, which takes place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., includes a silent auction.

The Tournament of Roses Foundation was established to contribute to the civic, cultural and educational advancement of projects in the Pasadena area. The non-profit annually distributes grants to local agencies in the categories of sports and recreation, visual and performing arts, and volunteer motivation and leadership development.

The non-profit Foundation receives contributions from supporters and participates in fundraisers that have enabled the organization to grant more than $2 million to more than 130 organizations since its establishment in 1983.
