If you do a google search for fundology.com, the description under the main website reads "Fundology is the alternative investment market for private company stock, mergers and acquisitions, funds, and private debt.” Do be careful not to search for findoloy.com, this has to do with pay-per-click advertising—not investment. If you are not financially minded, like me, the google description appears to be no more than a bunch of gobbldy-guck. Therefore, allow me to explain Fundoloy in the simplest terms I can. I will also explore Fundology’s history and current offerings.
Fundology.com provides “User-focused private investments” or “private investments simplified”. It also proclaims itself to be “The deal network for investment professionals”. The short description on the homepage reads “Fundology is an investment network that connects investors, business owners, dealmakers[,] and service providers, restoring relevance in deal discovery and simplifying traditional workflows. ” This, however, does not seem to be simplified. Fundology.com’s signature line “deal making + networking” describes it a lot better. At Fundology you can network with other “investors, business owners, dealmakers[,] and service providers“ and make deals having to do with “Private Company Stock, M&A, Funds[,] and Debt”. Fundology.com boasts that its “powerful networking ecosystem...dramatically reduces the time and costs of transactions. ”
Fundology used to be FIEXE “Technology architects delivering user-focused products”. FIEXE described themselves thusly: “FIEXE is a team of innovators that simplifies and personalizes technological experiences from first vision to final implementation. Our development team thrives on engaging our users to discover and manage their investment strategies in the best, most efficient ways.” The first part of this statement is simplified quite nicely, as is the last part. However, the middle is a little confounding. I am not really sure if FIEXE offered all the features fundology.com offers.
If you create an account at fundology.com you will be given your personal dashboard and watch list. “Manage your account, create deals in one click[,] and stay updated on the latest in your network“ from your dashboard. The watch list feature allows you to keep pace with changes and “Review quick facts about each deal” you add to the list. You can also preform a simple search to find new deals. Hopefully all of these features will help you “Discover powerful connections and evolve your investment strategy. ”
If you break it down as I have done Fundology is a fairly easy to understand investment tool, which provides “deal making + networking”. Fundology.com provides many features designed to simplify private investments and this is not gobldy-guck.
