Los Angeles, CA- Looking for ways to keep your kids active and healthy in 2014? Children Sports International is launching innovative youth fitness programs for under-served communities in Los Angeles.
Children Sports unique brand of Youth Fitness helps children ages 6-18 improve their speed, agility, balance, and strength though the latest strength and conditioning methodology. In addition to offering this service to school and at local parks, Children Sports provides a specialized Inclusive Fitness Program for children with developmental disabilities. Children will be in a positive environment where they have the ability to develop their physical skills, learn the importance of teamwork, and most importantly, have fun being active in functional fitness programs. Children Sports’ small group training ensures everyone receives maximum one-on-one attention. No matter what sport the child plays or current fitness level, Children Sports’ programs will be a great supplement to help a child develop the skills they need to succeed in life and in sports.
Program Cost- $20 a month donation per child
Youth Fitness Program
The Youth Fitness Program is specifically designed to advance a child’s athletic performance, help prevent injuries, improve self-esteem and long-term enjoyment of physical activity. This program groups children in three levels, ages 6-10, 11-14 and 15-18 respectively. The Youth Fitness Program creates a solid foundation of fundamental skills and neuromuscular patterns to help a child achieve optimal athletic performance. Children Sports place an emphasis on running technique, athletic coordination, flexibility, speed development, balance, and muscular strength/endurance.
Inclusive Fitness Program
The Inclusive Fitness Program is a highly specialized fitness program that uses strength conditioning and sports performance to facilitate peer interaction, social learning opportunities and fostering meaningful friendships for children with developmental disabilities. This unique program provides volunteer coaches with specialized training to address the special needs children with developmental disabilities have. This unique program utilizes a 5 to 1, child to coach ratio to help safeguard the environment and ensure each child receives individualized training to help advance their fitness level and skill development.
